Po vseh težavah so januarja 1894 z jamborom končno prispeli na cilj v Ladjedelnico svetega Marka v Trstu. Tam jih je pričakala velika množica Tržačanov, ki še nikoli niso videli tako velikanskega jambora. Poimenovali so ga kar »lesena pošast«.

  In January 1894, after all the difficulties, they finally arrived to the shipyard of Saint Mark in Trieste with the mast. They were greeted by a vast number of Trieste inhabitants, who never laid eyes on such a gigantic mast. They named it the “wooden monster”.
